Next week in Cleveland…
I’ll be on the local ABC affiliate Tuesday (that’s channel 5 for you Northeast Ohioans — the noon news, apparently), teaching Thursday and Friday, and signing books Saturday. From the Plain Dealer:
The Original Sewing and Quilt expo returns to Cleveland’s International Exposition Center, 6200 Riverside Drive, from Thursday, March 29, to Saturday, March 31. Organizers expect more than 8,000 crafty souls to participate in the 200-plus classes and workshops. Shopping galore can be counted on, for fabrics, notions and more, and daily runway fashion shows will be staged.
Popular personalities in knitting and crochet will be on hand for book signings, including Lily Chin (touted as the fastest crocheter in the world), Cleveland’s own Shannon Okey (author of the Knitgrrl series of books) and Annie Modesitt.
General admission is $10 each day. Call 1-800-699-6309, or go to www.sewingexpo.com for more details. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 29-30 and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 31.
What they neglect to mention is that the Yarn Harlot will also be in town on Saturday, signing books at Joseph-Beth. It’s like a great big crazy confluence of yarnistas — I love it!
I’ll post the video if I can figure out how to get it off our TiVo, and also photos from the show. If you’re not in Cleveland, I’m teaching the same classes plus a few more in Worcester, MA next month (see here). Want to know where I’m teaching in the future? Keep an eye on this page.
Congratulations and good luck!
