Mind’s Eye Yarns goes blog

Lucy, the owner of Mind’s Eye Yarns in Cambridge, MA (which will always be my LYS in spirit, even if I no longer live a one-minute walk away!) has started a blog. If you have Knitgrrl 2, check out the fabulously beachy cabana bag she designed. In Knitgrrl, that basic roll-brim hat shape was all her doing…once she gave me the basics, I went off and made who knows how many of them in various fibers, stitch counts and gauges over the years. She’s also opened an online Etsy shop — buy her hand-dyed fibers and yarns, you will not be disappointed!

I miss Mind’s Eye terribly. But fortunately Kim and I will get to make an appearance there this fall on book tour. Our publishers: “Why don’t you go to…[insert other Boston area yarn stores]?”

“No.”

“What about…?”

“No.”

“Or…?”

“No.”

It’s Mind’s Eye or nothing. Be sure to visit Lucy if you’re ever in the neighborhood (wish her a happy ninth shop anniversary this month, too)!

Holey moley. You lived in my neighborhood. And I was going to shop for you at Mind’s Eye, too! Maybe I still will… I second the recommendation, BTW.
