Jinxed myself
I take that back about the Eco sweater. After trying it on tonight (one sleeve is about 2″ away from the finish line), I’ve determined that the raglan sleeve drops down too far and needs to be hiked up… which means the sleeve will need to be taken out and reconfigured somehow. Don’t get me wrong, it’s rather comfy… but the sleeve seems to have too much fabric flapping around and I don’t think that putting the sleeve decreases closer together will be enough to do the trick. First thing tomorrow, I am going to Mind’s Eye to see what the Queen of All Knitting (Lucy) has to say about it.
Speaking of Mind’s Eye, I was just up there today to grab a copy of Stitch ‘N Bitch. Oooh, must make a Kittyville hat! Must! The book’s sitting at #188 on Amazon’s list, and Lucy says of the 20 copies she’s gotten in, 11 have flown out the door since Thursday or so. Capital-P Popular! And, now that I’ve had a chance to really sit down and peruse it, an excellent book overall. Buy, buy, buy it, I say.
Oh, and pray for my sleeves. Just chant quietly to yourself “minimal frogging, maximum effect, minimal frogging, maximum effect” repeatedly in the direction of Massachusetts, please. Thanks.
