The Thread Project
The Thread Project: yet another reason I love and respect fiberworkers of all kinds (and an inspiration to learn how to use my rigid heddle loom properly)! This project is weaving together single contributed threads donated by people from all around the world into a series of panels. Strips of wedding veils, portions of a treasured dog’s leash, handspun yarn and more, much more… woven into panels representing the fact that we are all one. Part of the same humanity. Isn’t that a comforting thought?
The Thread Project is opening right here in Charleston and one of my fellow bloggers..Kate at Katespin will be staying with me! How cool is that! …I was looking up some info on it when i came across your blog!
