Lost week.

Ever hear of a “lost weekend”? You know, where you wake up and discover $800 new dollars in charges on your credit card bill and a whole new closet of sock yarn? And you think, gosh, how did that happen? Well, my last week was like that, but without the new yarn, and with a few hundred dollars’ worth of doctor and vet bills instead. Happily, the vet problem is mostly resolved — Giles our younger kitty had an eye problem but is going to have to have lung x-rays to check his (probable) asthma. And my 3+ day long migraine is gone thanks to the miracle of modern medicine. Yes, I had migraines for 4 out of 7 days last week, but continued to work on projects with pending, set-in-stone deadlines because sometimes you have to just suck it up and suffer.

And you thought I was just ignoring you…

Check out the Museum of Scientifically Accurate Fabric Brain Art for a knitted brain and other wonders to tide you over ’til mine is fully functional again.

Glad to hear you found a solution for your migraines! If they start to hound you again, think about acupuncture. I’ve had tremendous success with it, with my previously-skepical doctor husband and plenty of other patients. 🙂

Hey Sharon! Oh, I have. It does work well on most of my headaches, but the problem is getting over to see my friend the acupuncturist when I have an acute one…can’t drive when I am in the middle of a migraine, usually.

Acupuncture is absolutely amazing, though. When I broke my elbow, it got me about 15 extra degrees of motion than the physical therapy alone had done!
