Exciting day!
I was mentioned in a list of 70+ nonfiction authors to follow on Twitter here at Mashable — and I am rather starstruck to be in the same category as Ruth Reichl, whose work I adore.
Maybe this explains the sudden rush of new followers today? Thank you, Cameron, for including me in the list!
There’s other news afoot and I can’t share it quite yet, but for those of you who are also near northeast Ohio, don’t forget this weekend is the Great Lakes Fiber Show.
Also, if any of you out there happen to be interior decorators, could you get in touch? There’s a Duralee fabric I’d like to get my hot little hands on but it’s not really worth opening my own account. I should mention it has octopi on it — octopi! — hence the excitement.
And finally — happy Friday, everyone! It’s been a whirlwind of a week but there is good stuff coming out of it, and I can’t wait for a little bit of holiday-weekend relaxation. (Even though, working for a British magazine, I’ll probably put in a half day on Monday anyway!)
