Behold! THE BOOK
IT’S HERE! IT’S HERE! IT’S HERE!
After what could only be described as “the usual bad behavior of the overnight shipping services,” guess what arrived? To quote the immortal Dawn French (start at 1:07)…
Unfortunately, it has to go right back into the mail to make it to ALA in time (the American Library Association’s show). Foreword Reviews (booth 3067) is working with Combined Book Exhibit (booth 3110) to showcase titles from independent presses like mine, so if you know any librarians who are headed to ALA later this month, tell them to check it out!
And with that, I’m heading out to the car to drive to TNNA. See you all at the show!
p.s. what do you think of my new “you might also like…” feature here on posts? I’m going to give it a try for a while and see how it goes, it’s supposed to get better at recommending appropriate related content over time.
p.p.s. UPS truck driver says “it almost didn’t make it on the truck, we had a rain delay,” and I said “I KNOW! BELIEVE ME, I KNOW!”
Yay !!! When are we getting it? I can’t wait to start reading 🙂
Ooooohhhhhh
It looks shiney and new! (perhaps because it IS shiney and new)
Awesome! I can’t wait to get a copy 😀
Soon! (but not until after TNNA). I just arrived in Columbus 15 minutes ago…one loooong weekend to go and then the digital editions go out into the world, too.
YAY! Congrats–I can’t wait to get my copy!!!
I want one too!!!!
Looks great. Have fun in Cleveland. I wish I could go, but this weekend has been booked for a long time (years, actually). Next year though….
I still have tons to learn about knitwear design, so I can’t wait to get my hands on a copy!
Hey Shannon – I can’t wait to read it! See you Saturday. . .
Congrats!!! and looking forward to getting my copy!
ps ‘you might also like’ is fine; not sure how much I’ll use it, but I don’t think it distracts from anything, so I’d say keep.

Hi, I preordered my printed copy on 6/4/10. When can I expect to receive the book? Regards, Karen
Hi Karen! (and everyone else, for that matter) — the preorders are on their way from my printer, I’m going to sign them as soon as they get here and pop them right back in the mail. I’m prepping the rigid cardboard mailers so they’ll be ready to go!
I had to pay crazy amounts of money to get the one seen here in this post and the ones I took to magazine editors at TNNA overnighted… $80+ (ugh). The preorders are coming via UPS, though, I’ll probably post as soon as I’ve got a confirmed tracking number from them!
The book arrived last week. What a delight to read and such information. wonderful job………….you might want to print a few in hard cover since I know the book will get tattered from use.
Thanks so much for all your hard work.
