It’s a sickness, I tell you…

If you think YOUR stash is bad, you should see my equipment stash. Someday, when the studio is clean again, I’ll take a photo. And now, I’m about to add this. It’s a can’t-pass-it-up deal from a retired couple.

Seriously. I don’t have a functioning yarn swift, but I’m about to add a 6-treadle loom?

Well, you know what they say… spinners need to learn how to weave because there aren’t enough hours in the day to use up all that gorgeous handspun by knitting.

See? I’m just being…practical. Yeah, that’s it.

So…when are you going to show us your equipment stash?

Great loom. Someday I’ll learn how to use one.

Oh, man. I have always wanted to know how to weave. I have a tiny table-top loom that was given to me when I was a child. Wish I knew how to use even that! LOL But the one you’re getting. Wow. My stash is having… Well, I’d say, but it’s not polite. LOL

Wow. We really do have the same sort of brain (I’m sorry if this is not entirely a compliment to you, what can you do?). I, um, have that loom, though mine has 4 treadles. And I got it because, well, someone a half-mile from me was selling her entire weaving studio for significantly less than the cost of the loom new. And it seemed wrong to let that opportunity pass. Wrong I tell you. Also using up stash seemed like an utterly sensible thing to do.

So it has been a pretty decent clothes hanger (and source of marital strife, let’s not forget that bit) for the last year, but now I’ve built an extra half a house to make room for it. Slippery slope? Where?

Ooo, nice stash. I wish I had a room like that. All I have is a little drawer that is buldging, I can barley open and close it. Mabye it with inspire me to get a bigger drawer.
